Default Distributor problem

I changed my cap and rotor today, everything went great the rotor screw was easy to get off. put the rotor on and then the cap went to tighten the bolts and snap! I broke the bolt that was nearest to the front of the car. expletive i thought all the other ones are fine. THe distance to were the cap meets the distributer is really not to much of a differece from anywhere else around the distributer. Part of the old bolt is left in the distributer(the metal part it screws into). I started the car up and drove and everything felt fine. I did notice a lil difference with the cap and rotor change mine was OLD. Please help guys. Ill upload some pics in a bit

dont worry guys I got out the old bolt because some of it was sticking out on the back side. Used some good ole needle nose to pull( twist) it out and put it 1 of the old bolts, woot!!!!!!
