Default b18c swap in 95 coupe

is the header compatible with the stock catalytic converter..meaning, will it match up without any modification, lengthening or what not? will it be a direct bolt up or will anything need to be shortened at all?

and on that note..what intake can I use that will be compatible with the swap? something that will fit correctly in the engine bay, short ram will obviously be easier to accomplish I'm guessing? I know the b18c TB sits lower than the b16 and d16 for that matter, any help would be great

1) no, your going to need to extend the header by a few inches (any muffler shop will do it for pretty cheap)
2) an intake for a 99+ SI works fine. it sits lower but the ones for the GSR are for the GSR engine bay. BIG diffrence.

How will an intake for a 99+ Si work on a GSR motor, with the throttle body about 6 inches lower than on a 99+ Si? That won't work. He will need to use a GSR intake. The engine bays are nearly identical.

Get a GSR intake if you're using the B19C1 with the stock intake manifold.

If you're using something like the Skunk2 manifold on the B18C1, then you would use the ITR, or CSI intake.

Here's my tenzo Crap Air Intake made for a civic.

The gsr intake will work better though.

If you use the Skunk2 manifold, you will have more intake options to choose from.
This is my setup with ITR manifold and AEM ITR intake.

thanks guys..anything else I need to know. I just bought a del sol vtec radiator today from larry @ importautosalvage, great guy, shipped to my door for $125.

I'm also purchasing a rear motor insert as well, its been reccomended to me by a few people who have done the swap. I've also planned for the new timing belt, water pump and so forth with the swap, so i'm hoping i've covered all my bases.

Does anyone know how long I'm going to have to extend the header...and what about if I get a JDM 4-1 header soon after, which is what I plan on doing.., would it be better getting it with the swap, will that one have to be modified as well?

I hear if you get a header from a 98 spec ITR, you can get a cat from a 94-95 LS teg and it will be a bolt on process. Don't hold me to that.

anyone get mount inserts for their swap? what type of vibrations do you get with them? I'm thinking of picking up the front and rear mount inserts from energy suspension

would you reccomend them for this application?

I just got a Del Sol radiator...it was supposed to be a DOHC Del Sol Vtec Radiator, but it's not...so if i cant get this one, what should I go for next for the b18c swap.

b19coupe...any custom modification for the LS radiator? What will be the easiest to install?

Actually, not far from the truth - for a bolt-in (one method - my boy did it), LS header (not sure what year, probably 94-95) and a integra ls cat ('94-95 probably), and your civic piping, and it all bolted in (Imma check out what header/cat/exhaust setup he ran)

To install the LS radiator I had to relocate the bottom radiator mounts. I had to reposition the top mounts as well, but that was the easy part. I had to weld the bottom mounts. I think that a Del Sol radiator would be easier to install, but I am happy with my setup.
