Default Will B18 camshafts fit into a B16?

I don't remember if I heard or read somewhere that the B18 camshafts would fit into the b16.

Are the B18 camshafts more agressive? Would it hurt or improve proformance?

I heard the B20z cams make like 50whp more than the stock B16 cams.

I'm guessing he doesn't know.

It depends on the B18. You see, Honda B-series motors fall into 2 categories. VTEC, and non-VTEC. The B16, B18C1-6 fall into the VTEC category. B18A, B fall into the non-VTEC category. Non-VTEC cams are not interchangeable with VTEC motors.

The B18C cams are more aggresive, as they are for a 1.8 liter motor. It's actually a pretty common upgrade for alot of B16 owners.

That should have answered your question. Now say hello to your new best friend:

Sorry I guys I meant the B18C1.

Would there be any power gains? Or is it better off to go with the Type R. The only reason I am asking is I got my hands on some GSR cams for free.

Yeah I know Type R ones are a lot better. But since these are free I wanted to see if there would be any kind of gains. Since the GSR cams are more agressive than the B16 ones I have.

Sounds like I have a little project to do this weekend. Gonna swap out the B16 cams for the B18 (GSR) ones.
