Default car bucking

wats god i have a 99 si i/h/e b16. it has 98000 miles on it. 2 days ago it started bucking wen i hit the gas it bucks hard. could it be the fuel filter i havnt changed it since i bought it and i bought it wit 92000 on it. o and my valve adjustment is all fucked up that im gonna be fixing in 2 days. iight thanks

no codes just changed oil,timingbelt,s/c,p/s beltsspark plugs are good ngks, wires are good msd8.5mm, havnt looked the distributoryet

my guess would be your fuel filter. Check your entire fuel supply, from filter, pump and output.

you sure when you did the timiing belt that all the marks lined up. put a timing gun on it and see if its in spec. if alls that is good then check the ignitor in the distributor, a bad ignitor will cause a engine to misfire

The problem you describe sounds a lot like fuel starvation Change the fuel filter reff to the shop manual for locations on the car there are normally 2 filters one by the gas tank under the car and one mounted on the fire wall. Always change both at the same time.

but misfiring should cause a CEL

same thing happened with me and i would say deff change your fuel filter it fixed my prob

if all else fails check the o2 sensor when that goes its starts stuttering

ok ima try the fuel filter because the the timing is perfect and the ignition system if good. thanks for all ur help ill let u know wat it is
