What do you think about this setup I just purchased??? Please let me know.
I just bought this kit and was wondering if everyone thinks its a good buy. Is there anything here that I dont have that I would need to install this setup? Also, would it be ok to tune the car with the s-afc or should I take it to a dyno?

won too tree four fif'd
cant wait even though im only #4 but had to do that. again ditch the afc, and go with a good ems. you will have a better boost experience in the long run.

Thanks guys but what would you perfer as far as what brand. I hear hondata would be the best I guess but anyone that can tell me what they have that could be a little cheaper would be great. Its just going to be hard to convince myself to spend $600 or so on an ecu.

im spending 3gs for 1, and plus i have to wire it up, costing at least another 1500. if you thinking spending 600 is too much for an ecu for your engine, then i think you shouldnt be doing this hobby. not dissing you or anything, but the ecu is what makes your engine happy and keeping it from blowing up, running like crap down the road, running like crap out of the box, etc.
if you dont want to spend that much, go to http://www.pgmfi.org and learn to chip your own ecu and run uberdata or crome. cheap and efficient with real tuning capability.

1 more 'gain for selling the fmu & afc. That might get you enough $$ to buy some (used) dsm 450's and a chipping kit for uberdata or crome. Or if you'd like you could buy some new injectors and have your ecu chipped by someone, or hondata, etc..
best case scenario: get top dollar for the fmu and safc on ebay, maybe add some extra cash and get some used injectors, a chipping 'kit,' and a $200 wideband. good luck
worst case: get anxious and use what you've got

Ok, I need you people to help me out. I am trying to understand the whole ecu thing but it is kinda complicated to me. If I wanted to get a hondata kit. What all would I need to purchase? I have a 2000 Integra GSR. Would it be best to buy a 94-95 ecu and then I would have to get an obd2-obd1 harness or what? Please fill me in with all of this.
first of all-- before you do anything-- learn about what you're doing. If you don't know anything about the engine management systems out there-- you shouldn't try to do this yourself, you'll only break ****.
Second of all-- find someone who does, take it to a "competent" shop and have them tune it for you.

turbo kit looks good.... i have the same exact turbo...Spoolz HELLA quick have fun with it
but as for that Safc, im with everyone else.. Sell it!!! haha and use the money to chip ur ecu with CROME!!!! its cheaper + more reliable than a Safc...... 440cc injectors would be nice too

So I can go here http://www.phearable.net/ and spend $275 for the chipped ecu with the jumper harness and then all I will need to do is put it in and then go get it tuned?
