Default AMS shop evo new setup.

UPDATE: New dyno vid of this beast 988awhp on top of page 4.

I searched, didn't find anything.

Just wondering how effecient this setup is compared to traditional...I'd imagine it would be very effecient...and have their been any honda setups like this?

I just wish there was a good picture of the exhaust side of the turbo.

If you look in the 4th picture just above the middle of the I/C i believe the oil return goes to a pump.

That manifold is gonna go crackity crack crack...

And what the hell is the point of mounting it there?

Looks "similar" to an exhaust manifold Tony1 fabricated a while back. Looks great. I'm sure they branced the Hell out of the turbo

As stated, i've been trying to find any honda setups like this...the efficiency on a bigger motor with the turbo mounted right off the I/C would be awesome I would presume.

You would presume incorrectly. The gains from blowing the turbo right into the intercooler, or through two feet of pipe before the intercooler is not something I would wet my panties about. Don't be ******* stupid.

I dont think it will crack , turbo is supported properly and the motor looks to have solid mounts also , so no movement

The turbo is supported, but that car is probably making 1000hp, and it doesn't look like the supports have much play....

if u ask me it seems pretty obvious that the turbo is gonna get better airflow around it, keeping it cooler as well as cooler air to compress, therefore making it more effiecient and now the intercooler wll has less hot air to cool, or be able to produce cooler air temps. and also getting rid of unecessary pipes which help add to pressure drop which reduces the boost..so now the car may be able to run more timming and boost without detonating so quickly tho its not neccessary but i also do belive theyre are trying to extract every pony possible out of these evos. tho also in theory one could argue it is simpley heat which drives the turbine and now placing the turbo fruther is only going to help produce more lag...so as to this i am unsure

i like the little tabs that are welded to the intercooler pipe and the intercooler with the bracket to keep a pipe from accidentally popping off!
