Default grinding clutch

I've searched this and have found similar problems but not my exact one.

car: '93 civic si

The problem first started out as a slight grind when letting out the clutch in 1st and 2nd gear. Then it went on to being a loud grind / scraping when letting out the clutch (at the sweet spot) in any gear (mainly 1st and 2nd). Now the car does not go into any gear and somtimes stalls when you press in the clutch. There has been no clutch slipping ever - it actually grips super hard now like a race clutch. This is the stock clutch 260000km's. Anyone have any ideas before i drop the tranny. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the replies. It's defidently not the syncros. It has to do with the clutch. The grinding isn't coming when moving the actual shifter into gear, it's coming when lifting up the clutch. Just tried to move the car into the garage now, when starting in gear the car shakes violently (with the clutch pedal to the floor). Clutch has 260km's or 160 miles.

well I opened it up and found the problem. 2 of the springs flew out of the clutch disc and started breaking the rivets in the release plate. Funny thing was there was still good life left in the actual clutch disc. Swaped it out with all new parts and now it works great.
