jdm import vs converting from usdm
since I saw jdm preludes going for close to 9grand, i figured it'd be worth comparing the costs/headaches between importing a jdm prelude, and converting yours form a us spec si w/ an h23 motor. prices may vary, someone chime in if they know how much importing costs as well as the legal paperwork when you finally get it..
h22a w/ m2b4 transmission = $2100
one piece Headlights = 250
Fenders = 150
Folding Mirrors = 130
Fog Lights = 200
amber turn signals = 70
window visors = 230
Climate Control = about 200 if you find it complete w/ sensors?
Switches, relays, etc. = 200
so far, for 3850, you can have mots of the common jdm goodies, I couldn't find prices on the bumper pole, rear window wiper, cd changer, lcd screen w/ navigation, front deck speaker, rear sub.. I don't know what else there is really, rhd conversion.. If anyone knows any prices of things I missed, copy my post and modify the list, I think itd probably be pretty close to what these cars are selling for to do a complete swap over.. and w/ the headaches of rewiring the dash for rhd conversion and the heater controls and sensors, coudl that compare to the headaches of importing a car you haven't even test drove?

itle be cheaper to conver, cause u cna get clips for 2grand, with the lights and turns and fenders dash an everything for conversion and porb the mirrors and bumper pole. so its deffinately cheaper, but its just not authetic
so if ur die hard jdm real **** only, then buy the true rthd, if ur broke like me, and dont wanna sopend 10grand on a car u already have, or spend 2500 + motor, and u can have ur car, u alreay know whats wrong with itm, and ur used to it :D just my 2cents

u don't need to get jdm fenders. you could just get jdm side markers for like 40 bucks or less, and i can get you a templete or u can look for one and use a dremel to cut through ur fenders and wire it yourself. as far as jdm goodies, i saw someone with a jdm air freshener in the pics. lol. and jdm seatbelt thing, oh and theres jdm clusters which you have to swap the faces of the one u have now so it fits. umm whatelse is there...
