After Spending $3000 on parts and labor to convert my car from OBD1 to OBD2 Emissions on my 1996 GSR. I find out that I can get a waivor if the repairs are over $150. PA emissions laws sucks Cat D*@K.

Dude I installed a JDM B16 and it will just not pass smog. So it's been sitting at home for 8 months. It really sucks because I"m dying to drive it.

not trying to promote illegal acts, but why don't you pay for a "hook-up" smog? Why wont your b16a pass? sniffer or visual?

as for the OP, yes it sucks...live and you learn.

try living in cali, when the bi-annual smog comes around it sucks because I know my car will fail horribly

thats why you find a nice hook-up and its all cool

Good idea, I have a few friends that live in Nashville that have their cars registerd in Clarksville (50 miles away) so they dont have to smog.

smog=nox= hook up an egr, make sure the rest of your emissions controls works, and you should be awesome, also, if you wanna pass smog, and all you need is to pass a sniffer, put a rich tune on, nox is only a problem on the slightly lean side

They are supposed to tell you that you can pass if you go to one of the shops for $150 they have on a list. That's how they do it here in Washington.

In Texas, It seems to be pretty hard to get pulled over for tags. My girlfriends ENTIRE family, are riding dirty on year old tags, none of them get pulled over for it. My teg, has good reg, but no inspection sticker.... at all. Hahaha.. Never been pulled over for it, I dont know.. hah.

It's kind of ironic that when I was driving to the state ref in CA, I noticed several factories emitting all kinds of white smoke into the air.

Wow I live in PA, I had no clue. I do know that in the poconos emissions are exempt!

Correct me if im wrong but the only time you get your car inspected is when you first register right? So after you have your car registered in MD your good to go
