my buddy is running an FMU with stock injectors on his turbo gsr and when he gets up to about 5k it starts to bog. I was wondering if the problem could be because of feul? Also another thing is that the check engine light is on for a idle air control valve fault. i have been chasing that fault also and have gotten no where. If anyone has any suggestions that would great.
thanks.
thanks.
There are about 5 differer post going on right now covering FMU and fuel problems! But ditch the FMU get uberdata, be happy. DId you replace your IACV and your still getting the code?

yeah i did a search and just came up with posts arguing how bad they suck. I realize the FMU sucks and i relayed the message to my friend but he wants to go the cheap route. I personally run Hondata so i know what your talking about.
As for the idle air control fault, i did swap iacv's with mine and it came up with the same fault. I also ohmed out the wires going from the ecu to the iacv and had good resistance. Also when i unplug it while its running all it does is lower the idle, it doesnt die like its supposed too.
keep em comin

What did you use as a vacuum source for the fmu? When I first started running mine, I didnt have it hooked to a strong enough source, and I had the same problem as your friend. Once I used my fpr as a vacuum source, it fixed the problem.
