I have seen the pic of this on full-race's site but never figured it would happen to me also has this happened to anyone else ?? and what is the fix for this so it dosent happen again ???? any info would be great

 

Welcome to the club. I am on my 3rd set of 4th gears and 2nd set of 3rd gears. Were you on the dyno? Only solid aid seen so far.....short of some heavy cash....is the handcuff. Liberty's makes a solid one. Howard at ARFab or Buck02 have them.

 

but with the hand cuff , you loose 5th gear and this was on the track with slicks , lol

 

That sucks we need someone to make some super strong gears for and affordable price.

Gotta pay to play. Keep fixing it. You will end up with a stack of wasted gears and many pissed off sessions like me. My nice ls 5th gears just got the axe. I refused to remove them, but after too many gear killings, why not try it.

 

so is the gear side of the case end weak or something ??? I was thinking of welding a gusset across the end to make it stronger if that will help me any ,

I alaways thought it was the other end of the case ,but I think the gears just have a weakpoint to. I mean one misshift and the gear is done.
