power steering is overrated and so is cruise. I would get rid of them both. That is just me though. I drive a CX, so no luxuries for me

Any B series pump will work, you just need to re-use the power steering lines. The only difference's are the metal bends on the hose, found that out after slicing mine on accident. So all you'll really need is the B-series pump bolted to the engine, use B-series belts for odvious reasons (*hint* B-series motor), and reuse your power steering hoses. so really, just use all GSR stuff on the motor, and civic lines to connect it. Now for cruise control... just yank it out. You'll be having too much fun passing people

they're probably thinking "civic...B-series...SI..." stuff like that. Now if all b-series are interchangeable, whats the difference between a B16a2 (SI), B16a3(sol Vtec), B18c1(gsr), ect. The only special things you would have to search for is if you're keeping AC, you'll need the Del Sol AC bracket or possably the SI, i can't remember because i don't have it anyways. Now for a B18b/c1/c5 you will need the rear tranny mount bracket and drivers side motor mount bracket off the SI, but thats all

the obd1 pumps have a different connection than the obd2 pumps. your hose is for an obd2 pump. use a 99 si pump. dont listen.

you really have no idea what youre talking about. to swap ANY b series motor into a 96-00 civic you need the 99-00 rear tranny bracket. you dont need anything else off the si, and no, not all b series parts are interchangable.

strictly... have you even done a B-series swap in a civic? I have the same set up that Mrturbo is trying to do. Yes, a B18C1 in a EK hatch is my daily driver and i have come across more problems than most people ever do if the swap was done RIGHT. Can you really say you can reuse the B18 drivers side bracket? http://www.hostdub.com/albums/...t.jpg <-- this right here says differently. The mount holes don't even line up with studs.

Now MRTurbo, i'm sure you already have researched how to make the engine fit and now that you have the pump it will all just bolt in. But if you have any questions on stuff this is a great site on making it all work http://www.phear7imports.net/trey/6gen/

dont try to question my knowledge kid.

you can use all of your civic rubber mounts and brackets except for the rear tranny bracket. i never said use the b18 bracket.

you really made no sense where you said "i have come across more problems than most people ever do if the swap was done RIGHT."

sorry for not making sense about the swap done right thing. I bought my car thinking it only had a few wireing problems but found it was was half-assed by the notorious northwest russians (not saying russians are bad, there's just a few sour apples up here) I've had to replace every mount and most brackets just to be able to go from point A to B. Now from what i've been told you need the SI drivers side moter mount bracket to work, but if you can use the D-series bracket on the B-series motor there's gunna be some *** kicking over here.

But anyways, i feel bad for arguing over stupid **** on Mrturbo's post. My e-mail is in my profile if you really want to chat more.
