on my 97 ex, i took the power steering off, it was like that for about a year, no problems, i liked it better than with power, it was tighter, you could feel the road better, but i was told in time it could lock up, do to the fact that it is a power assisted steering rack, which works off oil, so eventually you would have to put a manual rack in there, or just hope it doesn't lock up when your on an exit ramp on the highway.
