Default Alarm installed. Now i can barely see my gauge cluster!! Help!!!!

Just as the title says. I had an alarm installed on my 00 ex coupe and now i can barely see my gauge cluster. WTF? Everything is stock except exhaust and intake. Could the oem battery not be strong enough to power everything since i added the alarm?

Whoever installed it wired it wrong. I bet they used some other 12V power source for the parking lights.

I don't know but I can barley see it. And yes, its not the dimmer switch. I checked that already.

I would take it back to where you had the alarm installed and ask them WTF.

It sounds like they have tagged into the dash light/brightness circuit, and there is absolutely no reason to, there is nothing in any alarm I have ever done that needed to be wired to the dash light brightness circuit, park lights yes, and it will flash the dash lights on most cars, but it is "upstream" of the "DLBC".

Let me ask you this...

1- Does the dash light brightness controller have any effect on the dash lights?

2- Do the park lights flash properly when you arm/disarm and trigger the alarm?

3- Does the "DLBC" have any effect on the park light flash when you arm/disarm and trigger the alarm?

4- Have you tried unplugging the alarm brain to see if the dash lights, [cluster lights] work normally? If not try it.

Let us know. 94

That's what I would do, I wouldn't even call, I would just go there and have them fix it right away. 94

Used the red wire from the brightness controller to power the alarm?
Do we win a prize if we guess right? 94
