GT3076R (T25 .86) on B16A2
I shall want to know if a GT3076R (T25 .86) works well on small B16 completely built (darton sleeves, wiseco 9:1, eagle rods etc...)
i've a ramhorn T25 flanged, 3"DP, 3" cat back etc..
how much rpm for strong boost with this turbo ??
thanks.
little french.

That's a sweet turbo! Search, and you'll find all kinds of people running it on here. Good luck!

that t25 housing and the internal gate might give you some headaches... i would consider going to a t3 with external gate if you are gonna spend the $$
I would stay away from it myself. I have seen a lot of 3071 users with the T25 flange and internal wastgate have overboosting problems. The T25 flange is too small for that compressor in my opinion.
Yes, I know, but I already have the ramhorm and the DP for a T25 turbine, I have a GT2871R .64 and I would want a less restrictive turbine, the GT3071R and GT3076R has a 56.5mm turbine and I think of using a 38mm external wastegate.
You think that is 3071 a better choice than 3076??
thanks.

I prefer the 3076 myself. Its a better match between compressor and turbine wheels, but that is in the T3 form. I can't say I have seen anyone with the GT3076-WG yet. I run the 3076 on my car and it has great spool and made 407hp at 1 bar. What are your power gaols? I would think the 2871 is a very good choice and I think if you are going after more power than that can make you should be switching to a T3 or T4 setup. Just my 2 cents. Which 2871 do you run?
I'm not a Honda guy so I guess i could be off but I have seen many people on other cars make 360-420hp. I know of a few guys with them on SR20's with 400 at 18-19psi. I think that turbo is perfect for that power level.
Which one, the 2871? The problem, it is because the small B16 engine has an incredible VE, incredible CFM, and I turn has 9000rpm. I often heard that the 2871 T25 has a exhaust turbine too much réstrictive, on the other hand 3071 and 3076 ( T25) has a 56.5mm turbine exhaust.
At least, thank you has all for your comments.

This is a great responsive turbo to use. It is not the same as the GT3071R. You could use either the the GT2871 or GT3076 Internal gate. For what you're trying to acheive, the internal gate will be fine.

For the needs, it can.. But the choice is up to you. No one's clarivoyant, my friend.. I can't even begin to guess what your needs/ power goals are other than the ones you stated..
