Default Stock Injector and FMU setup safe?

I plan on boosting my SOHC ZC and plan on using the stock injectors with a FMU setup. (12:1)

On a Tial 38 mm. wastegate with a .5 bar spring, would it be safe to boost at the wastegates stock level?

i dont know what 0.5 bar means,,but if its like ~6 psi you will be fine..just gotta watch out for boost creep....

.5 bar is 7.25psi.
You should run an inline booster pump as well

i wouldint use an fmu period even if it was for just low boost... if you get it tunned right you can boost more than that safer than you can 6 psi on a fmu

you can boost more with fmus to..just have to change out discs and get something to take away the fuel (afc for example) and you can get a pretty good a/f ratio..

i agree with you though its better to just get it tuned,,but then not everyone lives by a tuner..

So how can I safely do it?

I was thinking of this setup:

FMU:

Fuel Pump:

How much should I retard my timing to help make it safer?

Forget it, after searching, I am scared shitless to use an FMU.

Not knocking, but if you are doing the turbo with budget in mind, both prices on those links are about $20 too high per part ( $40 could make your oil feed)

There's no doubt that tuning is better, but a propper FMU set up is safe.

A setup such as? How canI do it? What products to buy and how should I set it all up?

FMU
Inline pump (MSD is fine)
Warlboro in tank (if your pump is still stock-I'd replace it anyway)

If your not creeping (which the Tial shouldn't) you should be fine. The Inline pump will make sure that you aren't leaning out under boost and the FMU will make sure your pulling enough fuel, so it works. Everyone knocks FMU's but remeber...Hondata/Crome/Turboedit wasn't always around. Look at alot of off the shelf kits...what do they supply you for fuel in a basic setup (Drag/RevHard)...an FMU and inline pump. If you are really nervice and can't get to a tuner, look for a Greddy blue box used.

But by all means, if you have access to dyno time, or know someone that can street tune/datalog use turboedit.
