Default Oil pressure\oil temp, run off T at stock oil pressure location?

Does the oil temp sending unit HAVE to be placed in the pan, or can a I get temp readings from T-ing it with the oil pressure sending unit?

Thanks.

Using what kind of sensor?

Wouldn't one of these work?

My bad, both electrical.

Thats not a bad setup there, never thought to run a sandwhich plate at the oil filter.

I just remembered...another alternative for TEMP, there is an oil drain plug replacement that you can buy. I think it was a VW OEM part, but don't quote me on that.

Cool, I really like the design.

One thing to watch out for - the threads are a little different...you can run regular Honda filters, but the Hamp don't seem to fit for some reason.

Some sandwich plate bolts are tapped with a poor quality die such that the thread is too coarse for the hamp filters.
