Default is it possible to tap here for an oil temp sending unit???

just wondering if i can put the sender for an autometer oil temp gauge in this spot on the head. i know it gets oil in it and doesnt get in the way of moving parts. anyone done it before?

i believe if you tap it there. you will only see oil pressure when vtec comes on

Just tap the pan, easier IMO. I had mine tap'd n tig'd w/ a bung for $20!

why not just do what most do and t off the OEM pressure sensor.

hahahaha. temperature! oil temp.

anyhow, the T thats currently being used off the back of the block is all full and i dont feel like making a huge contraption of brass fittings, or even than buying another T haha

The standard that people generally go by is oil pan temperature.The oil temperature varies in the engine, so if you measure it elsewhere it will be hard to compare with others that measure it in the pan.I've tapped the drain plug before (in the side of the pan,not the bottom).It just a pain when you change the oil.

You need an oil filter sandwich.

ya i have on on my car. its badass but i use the an fitting for my lsvtec oil feed. this car is a gsr...do they sell a plug for that an larger hole?
