what would be the downside to adding a oil cooler?
I know the positive part would be cooler oil temps but what would be the negative drawbacks by adding a oil cooler to a turbo,ed car, would i lose some oil pressure? oil leaks? the reason i ask is im planning on adding a mocal oil cooler, lines and fittings with thermostat, any comment would be appreciated

You will lose a couple psi of oil pressure. The effect of this is negligible.
The only downside is the cost.
Some people don't run a thermostat- it is seen as one more thing to possibly fail.
I kind of agree with this- you can just put a piece of cardboard over the cooler during the colder months and not have to worry about thermostat failure.
For most street/strip driving, an oil cooler is overkill. If you are going to be doing lapping, then it is a good idea.
