gauge cluster stoped working

Default gauge cluster stoped working

today i was driving around & my Gauge cluster stoped working .
everthing but my Speedo . but no tach , fuel , temp . or CEL . & allso my blinkers arent working . but my hazards are .
what would cause this . i seached but couldn't find some1 with the same prob
. would it be a relay ?

under hood fuses too? does it light up when you turn the lights on? the spedo works cause it cable not electrical so im guessing a wire shorted it all out. check the wires and plugs on the back its super easy to take off.

yea i tryed those fuses too . & the backlight comes on , i took the cover off to make sure everything was still pluged in . but didn't inspect every wire , it's to dark . right now .

it stoped working while you were driving? did you hit a bump or something? maybe try a friends cluster too.

i was driving to go to get my car tuned . & i hit alot of bumps on the way . but no more then ussal . i think my frined has a spare one but he's out of town tell next friday ..grrrr

You need to use an exact cluster swap because wiring is different for different clusters. Don't let people tell you they are the same for that year because they aren't. 2 cluster manufacturers and different pin outs. either get the same cluster or rewire to match.

no i used one from a 89 dx . i've miitched matched dff gauge cluster from diff years & trims & never had a prob.
i live in south memphis next to the Fedex.

now my backlight wont come one

I had the exact same problem. It was a blown fuse. Replace the tach fuses and check. Sometimes I fuse can be blown without looking like it is.

whitch fuse is the tach fuse ? i dont see any that say .tach . or gauges . or anything like that ?

ok i fell like a idiot i looked over everyfuse like 3 time . i changed out my turn signal fuse , & it didn't look blown . & it worked thanx !!
