gt42r compressor vband flange removal?
Ive heard that if you remove the vband on the compressor you can get more power out of the 42r? Just wondering if anyone has experienced this. I know there isnt a lot of guys here running it, but figured id ask.

What you've just said made absolutely no sense.
More like you were referring to the anti-surge/ported shroud compressor housing at the turbo inlet. Yes, you gain power, but it's not an easy task. I'd worry about the anti-surge after you maxed out that turbo (900+ HP) and want more.

so they are just machining down the antisirge shroud? hmm i wonder if i could find a picture of that.

No they weld a velocity stack in the inlet which reduces the turbulence caused by the anti-surge slots.
