***After just getting off the phone and speaking to one prostreet rep, then being transferred to another, I was told that it is in fact a vis product, that simply, the hoods come with vis stamps, but the duckbills do not, they "assured" me that it is a vis duckbill ... I am not putting down prostreet in anyway, but that does seem odd to me, and i honestly do still have my doubts, can any vis eg duckbill owners verify that for me? any of you guys bought the wing new and it didnt have a stamp? im still curious ... ******

Well, I ordered a vis carbon fiber duckbill via "special order" through prostreetonline.com about a month ago...In my initial search for the duckbill, i came up empty but figured shootin prostreet a call to see if they can get it anyway, by special order through vis, as a vendor, sure enough, the guy told me yea...

...Told me how much it was, whatever whatever, i paid, he also elaborated me on the worldwide CF shortage thats been goin on as of late, and that i prob. wouldnt get my order for at least 3-4 weeks, ok , fair enough...
...My order status on pro street still says "processing", even up to this moment...

...So i come home today to find a package from Cali, addressed to me...It does not say prostreet anywhere on it, but w/e, it was a special order, but it is supposed to be a VIS duckbill, and while the CF seems very nice w/ a good weave and whatnot, it does not say VIS anywhere on the box, or more importantly, the duckbill itself...I always though VIS products were stamped VIS, regardless of what type of product they were ... i know the hoods are, do some vis duckbills just come not stamped? or did i actually get a non vis cf duckbill? im in the dark, shed some light guys...

The fitment will tell you. Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't VIS duckbills supposed to fit perfect or damn near it?

 

i dont think my vis spoiler had it labeled, but it came in a vis box with the tape all over it in vis. I know for a fact mine is vis

 

when i had my vis duckbill....it had a vis badge and was wrapped with vis taped...so mine was real...

 

Not sure about duckbills, but I've bought two different style hoods for an Integra and they both came in that same VIS wrapping and both were stamped.

 

i've had 2 vis duckbills and none had badges

 

Why don't you just call Vis yourself and find out?

my duckbill didn't come with any vis badges but it was wrapped in vis plastic stuff like everyone else said.

 

well if it was special order it should come in VIS packaging. i dont think there's a badge.

 

...Well i just got off the phone with vis guys...the guys looked into, and after putting me on hold for a minute said he did not find any definite info about an order through pro street online but that does not mean my duckbill is not vis... he also went on to tell me that even tho it does not have a vis stamp, it could still be vis, that they(vis) are in the process of getting more duckbills, as well as new stamps (seemed odd, but that was what i gathered)...
...So it didnt help too much but i guess it did help a little, he could not verify vis quality for me over the phone (obviously) but he told me that my duckbill could be vis...oh well, i guess im keepin it then, unless some1 wants to buy it for like 240 shipped, or trade me for a set of clean si's with tires on the north east coast (plus 100 cash on my part)

why didnt you ask them if it comes in a VIS box atleast. cuz if it does then its either not a VIS or been tampered with. what was the return address on the package? search it online and if it goes to ABS dynamics then you iknow!

 

Because Prostreet probably buys quite a few of them at a time, and they all come in one box, and then they just box each one per order. Saves shipping and expenses for Vis, at the sacrifice of the customer.
