obd1 motor in obd2 car
i have an obd1 motor going in an obd2b car. i wanna keep my dizzy and alt of course. ive seen tons of diagrams on how to wire those im not worried about that. Im going to use an obd2 harness on the engine, and a conversion harness to obd1 for my p28 but what do i do about the CKP sensor that is on the oil pump on obd2 motors. is that in my dizzy and when i wire it up, it will work, or will i need to buy the **** to put that sensor on my pump sense i already have an obd2 pump. I was reading a diagram and it showed a ckp being in the dizzy on an obd2 dizzy as well so im confused, did they leave the sensor on the obd2 dizzy's annd just not use that one and just use the one on the pump??? im using a chipped jdm p30 for my tuning. i didnt know if they even looked for that sensor.
ecu has nothing to do with it, im using a convresion harness. The only thing that im having issues on determining is wether i have to put that sensor on the oil pump.

why is that? if your gonna be using an obd2 wire harness and obd2 dizzy,injectors,and alternator, with an obd2 too obd1 conversion harness, you should be fine

no it doesnt matter, we dont have any kind of inspection, for emmissions blah blah blah. this car will be driven 4 to 5 days a month. i want my build into my EK using my obd1 dizzy and alt so i dont have to go and spend a bunch of money. im using 1000 cc rc injectors, its a 700hp car. all i need to know is what to do about the CKP sensor

Don't worry about the damn thing, if you are using an OBD1 ecu, it doesn't even look for it.

I'm sorry, i must've misread it. I was speaking about the CKF not the CKP. my bad. There are some obd1 to obd2 wire guides for dizzy's around, you'll just have to search.
i was confused from the start. im talking about the crank fluctation sensor on the pump. it doesnt even exist in the car on obd1, so im good to roll if i convert my obd1 dizzy into my obd2 engine harness, and do the conversion harness at the ecu with me p30 YEAH.

OBD1 = CKP - Crank Position Sensor only
OBD2 = CKP & CKF - Crank Fluctuation Sensor
If you are worried about the CKF and you are converting OBD1, jsut forget your worries.
