Car: 94 civic dx
Engine: 91 JDM inteegra B16A1
Problem: I fill up everyday, or sometimes twice a day.

I am burning large amounts of fuel and I don't know why. Please help me out.

 

how far do you drive everyday? excessive smoke? fuel leak maybe? What do the plugs look like ?

 

hole in ur gas tank? when ur car sits is there fuel on the ground?

 

leaking around the fuel filter? fuel rail? injectors? plumbing to the tank?...take a look around...0-15 miles to the gallon is terrible. What does your car run like? Lots of black smoke pouring out? If not..then i believe you have a leak..

Sounds like a wiring problem. I'd say check for codes but you can't.....

There isn't a code, and if there was I could check it by juming the wires under the dash.

 

At the time I was driving all highway miles for about 90 a day.

 

No, there isn't gas leaking, but I can smell a rich smell of fuel from my exhaust.

 

No, there is no fuel leaking out, and I didn't check the spark plugs, but they are Bosch, I am going to go get some NGK's today.

 

i weas getting about 17 mph with no o2 sensor.
i would check your map and o2 sensor. also the other sensors on the intake manifold. my car ran rich as HELL without a map sensor but i never drove it to get mileage. but it does sound like a leak. it might be a broken injector if its not leaking from the fuel rail/pump

 

What ecu are you using?

If it's the 88-91 PR3/ PW0 then the code window is on the ecu and will flash there, not on the cluster.

Please list all your mods..... including year and generation.

Sounds like you are using an OBDI ecu and teh one wire O2. You need a 4-wire O2.

Who installed this? Shop? You?

It is a P28 ECU rechipped for a B series motor (originally in a 95 HB SI w/ B18C).

I have a 4-wire o2 sensor

94 Honda Civic DX w/ B16A1 & 2000 SI tranny. Short ram intake, Apexi N-1 catback. THat's all.

 

stock injectors? or are they like 550cc?

 

They are the injectors off of my DX.

 

how fast are you driving on the highway? i know in my car....b18b1 in my 92 HB, if i cruise at around 65-70mph, i get about 35mpg. but if i cruise at 90, i get like 20mpg.....cruise at 100, and well, you get the idea.

but still, if you're filling up twice a day, then something's wrong. did you check all the listed items?

check your injectors and make sure they cicle and dont just shoot gas all the time and check any wiring just my thoughts
