Default d16y7 question

i am having a problem figuring out a plug thats on my y7
it comes out of the timing belt side, right above the oil pan
any ideas what it is??

i dont have a pic right now i will have one later if it helps

It's your crankshaft position sensor (CKP sensor)

ok lemme explain what im doing

i have a 88 crx hf and i got this y7. i am puting all crx si parts on it to make it obd0 like the intake mani,header,dizzy,ecu,trans

so i dont need the crank sensor right?

The CKP sensor is up inside the distributor. The Crank Fluctuation sensor (CKF) is located by the oil pump. OBD1 ECUs also don't look for this sensor since it was introduced as a component of OBD2.
