Does you OBX LSD whir a little bit?
just put mine in last week and it tends to whir / whine at little bit on the street, not under power really, just cruising. it doesnt sound bad and there is no metal in my tranny.

hmmm, same ring gear and new bearings albiet they are not oem honda and i had to use 2 shims to get the proper clearance. im driving 200 miles to detroit tomorrow so wish me luck

did you put the shims on the proper sidwe of the diff.if they're on the wrong side,ithink the ring gear may contact the case.
also,needle bearings or sealed ball bearings for the diff carriers?

I would say
1 the bearings could have been damaged when they were pressed on
2 I would use OEM bearings but thats just me

hmm maybe the bearings, they were sealed and i took off the seals. oh well to detroit i go! interview with Roush!!

its nothing. I know they arent the same but they are similar, but my quaife has always whined and i asked quaife and they said it was normal and they have lifetime warranties soo.....i dont think you have any issues there.
i made it there and back! phew!! no problems, just still whining when under light load. oh well, im gonna run it till something blows

i checked that, i squeezed almost two quarts in there
