LS/vtec vs b16
Ok this kinda has to do with the topic but, when you make an Ls/vtec do you have to get it tuned in order to drive it because of the vtec engaging on a non vtec block? and if you have a b16 short block and put a vtec head on it, could you just drive it w/o tuning it??? These might be some stupid questions but im a stupid person.
yes you need to tune the ls vtec...if you put a b16 head on a b16 block...you shouldnt have to get it tuned...itll run off the factory ecu...cause its essentially...a factory setup
It is a b16 head but its not stock. It has CTR cams, valves and retainers. and little stuff like DC sports cam gears(if that matters) It was originally on my turbo motor but I want to just get a b16 running for now until I get a new turbo kit.

the cam gears would definately make a difference and need to be tuned properly with the motor
