i have a built ls block: srp forged pistons eagle rods. i need to know if i can even run a kncok sensor? would the forged pistons make the knock sensor go crazy? its a 0bd0 pr3 ecu, stock.

this is a good one..
detonation is what causes the knock sensor to triger
and yes you need it so your ecu (unless modify) does not throw a CEL, who would like to run without the knock sensor on built engine?

yeah i put a knock sensor on my built ls-vtec and the CEL for my sensor would come on after like 2 minutes of driving. its def gunna sense knock.....wat i did was get it crome tuned. not even that i would go on ebay and there a guy who sells stock chips and u have the option to remove vtec. the chip and eprom install kit will run u about 30$ and all u need is basic soldering skills or bring it to a local electrician which should be a cheap quick job.
