Turbo goes on tonight!
The turbo install starts tonight! The oil pan is coming off to be welded tomorrow morning. I plan to have everything mounted/installed except the oil lines tonight. Tomorrow when I get the pan back, the oil lines will get finished and the car will be up and running! Wish me luck!
P.S. This is a T3 60 on a D16Y8, intercooled and set to run 6.5Psi.

Well, I have the manifold/turbo/wastegate mounted up. I took the oil pan off and drilled the hole for the drain fitting to be welded tomorrow. Then I will run the IC piping and mount the IC to the bumper. I also plan tomorrow to have a pipe bent to attach my K&N to the compressor inlet, and have a custom closed-loop downpipe fabricated.
So it begins! Awesome. I hope to be in the same boat as you in the next few weeks.
When are you going to payne tech to get your hondata programmed? I want to know how they do.

Update:
There has been a minor set-back because the local custom welder has been swamped lately. He is the only one around here that welds aluminum. The oil pan is going to be welded tomorrow. I have everything else done and ready to go. I will just have to be patient. That is easy now because I have been buying turbo parts for about 6 months! LOL

Ok, well I finally have the oil pan from the welder and it is perfectly welded. He tested it to make sure it is leak-proof even, what a guy! Anyway, the car will be running tonight and everything should be cool!
Well, the oil pan did not leak but I did have a small leak right at the brass "t" where the line from the block goes to it. I did not have time last night to correct it, but I will be working on that tonight. I am not too unhappy by it, hell I have waited this long.....what is one more day!?!?
