Default Air From Dip Stick??

Alright, just put the gsr in my girlfriend's coupe and when i shut the car off, i can pull the dip stick up and a little bit of air comes out. Ive already changed out the PCV valve and that didnt help. So far the engine feels strong, idles good, and no smoke from the exhaust. Im thinking possibly rings? Im going to be pissed if it is and hmotors will get from me. Oh i will be doing a compression test tomorrow also.

Do a leakdown test. That should determine the problem.

Something has to be clogged, causing it not to vent... i dont have a leakdown tester.

That's blowby. When my H22 rings went, it started doing that and then it started smoking. If it doesn't smoke, then I'm not sure. Maybe a valve adjustment?

I got it to stop by pulling the pcv valve out of the black box and letting it vent into the atmosphere. im guessing something is clogged in the hose or manifold.

squeeze along your pcv tubing and listen for idle drops to find the clog
