Default cleaned Iacv....still bouncy tach +some

alright so the first time i cleaned the iacv the bouncy idle (1500-2000) stopped....it came back again and i cleaned it again and it did nothing. what else could it be? also it seems sometimes when i first start the car for the day (like after its been sitting for about 6-8 hrs) itll seem like its not getting fuel or sputter, but then i just give it throttle and it goes back fine, almost seems like its going to die but never does.

also sometimes i get an idle under 500 and feels like its going to kill but right when it feels like its going to die, it kicks in and bounces back up to 1000 and settles to 700 like normal....weird.

also ive done a complete tuneup excluding fuel filter (could that be problem? possible?) because autozone doesnt have it in.

thanks guys

I would replace fuel filter and check timing. If that dont work maybe valve adjustment. Those are the things i did when my idle was acting up when i thought it was my iacv.

the bouncy idle is probably being caused by the fitv it sits right under your throttle body . there are 2 coolant lines going into it remove those . Then remove 3 10mm bolts and remove it . On the back of it facing the firewall , there are 2 screws holding a cover on remove it . Inside there is a whiteish plastic screw in there , you can remove it and clean everything or just tighten it down , more than likly its backed itself out its a common problem . This should fix your bouncing idle goodluck

Also check your idle adjustment screw. I had the same problem and all it took was a half turn and voila.
