Problems shifting into first gear when car is cold...

Hi guys, I've searched around but I wanted to see if anyone can pin point my problem...Whenever my car is cold, I have to jam it into first gear. Also, when I shift into 3rd, I have to shift into third soft and kind of like on a certain angle otherwise, it feels like first gear does. Another problem is after engaging reverse, it's hard putting it on first after...Any ideas???

Clutch?

Sounds similar to my car before I got a new clutch installed

My car occasionally does that. I say wait til it warms up a bit. I usually let my car sit for about 5-7 minutes before I go somewhere.

Could be...

Even sometimes after the car is warm though, the move from reverse to first is tough because first gear doesn't easily pop into gear...
