How to swap an LS motor into a 93 hatch
I have a 93 dx hatch and I have a 97 integra ls i am trying to put the motor in the car but am having trouble because I dont know what i have to do with the wiring. If i put the motor in the car will the harness that is on the ls motor plug into the wiring harness in my engine bay on my civic let me know want to get it done by saturday thanks
well can't i just use my obd1 computer since i have both the civic dx ecu and the ls motor ecu or do i have to buy that jumper? thanks for the help i thought that it would plug and play but i wanted to make sure.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't you have to change the plugs on the LS harness to fit that of the civic's shock tower harness? or the other way around?.....being that the Civic is OBD1 and the LS harness is OBD2. Maybe that was a little too obvious of a statement....
Good luck!
Good luck!

why wont the dx computer work is it not strong enough for the ls engine or what. i think what i am gonna do is swap out the whole wiring harness and dash from my integra into my civic hatch and just run obd2.

1.the dx ecu will run the Ls, but it does not have the proper fuel and timing maps, so the motor won't run as good as it would with the proper ecu.
2.even if you want a teg dash I would still keep it 1, like others have said.
3. you can prolly get a obd1 LS ecu(which will plug straight into car), or a jumper harness (which several people on this board sell)so you can plug the LS ecu that you already have into your dx harness, or get the DX ecu chipped for an LS, any of these can be done for less than $100 dollars
I reccomend you just buy a an oBD1 LS ecu
good luck

where can i get the jumper harness to plug the ls computer into the dx harness. if anyone knows please let me know. Also I think the car would look good with the teg dash in it since it already has the seats and it is getting the rear brake setup. pretty much i have a integra with the weight of a dx civic hatch. Not to mention my ls motor is bone stock with 134 k on it.
