Default windown tint

hi i got my windows tinted 35% but i have a 95 integra hatch.. they did a great job.. but why can;t the tint cover the whole back window.. like 97% of it is covered.. the other part is this black spots on the window that can't stick.. so he says.. makes my tint looks like somebody half assed it..

is everyone elses like that or what?

Are you reffering to the top of the glass on the hatch, if so, they half assed it. My windows are tinted, not problems with the tint not sticking.

You Really in elmira ny? I'm like 40 miles from that in Pa.

Anyways, it usually won't stick very good to the bumps on the top,
I dunno if it will or not at first, but I'm sure it will eventually bubble some.

Where you live. Yes I really live in elmira.

I don't use the rear defrost, it help to maintain the tint. Most cars that use the defrost the tint ends up getting funny looking.

Usaully I see them bubble and discolor. I guess it all depends on the quality of tint and the installer

Yea I have a 94 ls and they did the same thing. They call it the "dot matrix"
But I forget about it so I don't really care.

My good friend owns a shop that does tinting and he actually scrapes the dot matrix off. He takes a razor blade and scrapes it flush with the rest of the window. You can still see the matrix but it doesnt stick out from the window so it doesnt affect the tints adhesion. I am sure the people on this thread that have the matrix tinted took it to a place that knew what they were doing and also did something similar.

I just went out to take a picture and its almost impossible to get a good shot of it, Might be because its about dark here.
I will check later to see if the dots have been taken off on my car, I'm too lazy now

they will still be there a little bit but significantly less than stock. You would probably have to compare to a stock one to tell. I am pretty sure those little dots are actually metal...

Shitty, my buddy has an integra I can look at too, but I think his windows were tinted by the same shop.
I might be in the dark on this one. I might have to find some unexpecting integra owner that will let me caress there windows

same, but... my WHOLE rear is tinted, I don't see why they would do a half *** job on the rear though. =X
