locked my keys in my hatch
what are some good ways to open the door?
last time this happened i managed to wiggle the drivers side window down and get a hanger in there to pop the lock open. it is a '90 hatch.
if i cant find a way, becuase my windows are up pretty tight this time, i am just goign to break the hatch window beucase the hatch is all rusted out and i needed a new one anyways.
thanks.

lol, my hatch trunk lid is rusted out really bad, a new one is around 50-60$ at a junkyard, which is the whole lid (including glass)
so im saying if no one has any good ideas i am just going to break the window on the hatch. my car is pretty rusty but i dont think the glass has rusted yet!

oh yeah, when i say i am going to buy a hatch to my friends at the junkyard, they think im picking up another car. haha , i mean a TRUnk lid, not hatch aka honda civic 3 door.
now i see.

yeah but im so broke right now i am goign to try the hanger technique tomorrow.
i know on eg hatches with non power windows, you can take the wheather stripping off of the window, and pop the door open with a screwdriver, and this takes about 72 seconds to do lol,. i am wondering if ef's are like this.

dude im guessin its crank windows so all u gotta do is pry the drives or pass windows down a half inch and then pull the window out towards u with your hands or a screw driver.
Believe it or not u can stretch that window out far enough to get your arm down in there and just unlock the door. it will seem like the window will break but believe me it wont.
I do this with my 92 eg hatch all the time because the damn key buzzer in the ignition doesnt like to work sometimes

this happened before and you didn't learn the lesson and get a spare key made?!?
i'd call AAA before breaking a window.
if you don't have it, one of your friends should...

90 hatch....hmmm, this is a hard problem. . . .
Try this:
Find any key made for honda 96 and older, Toyota 91 or older, make sure the key has had an extensive life (no new keys), stick the key in your worn out key hole, while turning the key clockwise, jiggle it in an up and down, in and out motion, the car will unlock.
Honda, Toyota, Ford, Nissan, and a bunch of others never realized exactly how often their lock cylinders would be used, so they never anticipated the fact that slowly the locks would deteriorate and become universal. I have two integras, a civic, a camry, and an ES300.... I have two car keys on my key ring.

that should work
i can open my driver side door (95 si hatch) with my brothers toyota truck key, my friends ls key, and several other keys.. you should try keys with less knotches on them and ones that look kind of worn.. good luck
