The other day i was wiring in a cd player. Two wires sparked and i thought nothing of it. Then when i went to start the car the fuel pump didn't turn on. First, I switched out the fuel pump, nothing. Then i checked every fuse on the entire car (as far as i could tell), still nothing. Then i checked the fuel pump relay, again nothing. I have run out of ideas on what this might be. If you have any ideas, thoughts, or suggestions please chime in, I need your help badly. Thanks in advance. -Marcel

today i rechecked EVERY fuse and swapped out the main relay and another relay (in the fusebox inside the car) with two of my friend's relays...still nothing. i replaced the fuel pump with a walbro 255, still nothing. then i followed the wires from the fuel pump to the fuse box and i couldn't find any cramped or burned wires, even checked the grounds on the thermostat and still nothing. i really need some help

 

could it have to do with my clifford alarm? also what about the fuel cut off switch since everything else is working but the fuel pump won't prime.

 

well if your alarm is not armed i do not see why it's ******* with it. you could unplug the brain for the alarm system see if anything happenes. also check your under hood fueses... then check for power etc to fuel pump.

 

alarm is not armed so u're prob right (although i did unplug the "brain" for the alarm and it didn't do anything). checked all the fuses under the hood as well and changed the ecu fuse, just in case, even though it was not messed up. today i'm goin to get my friend to bring me his check light so we can check if the fuel pump is receiving power, although i doubt it is.

 

we've tried everything we can think of. my main relay didn't do anything for his car. and he checked the ecu fuse...help him out ya'll

 

no spark...and we hardlined the fuel pump so it'll work but even with the fuel pump getting power, the car won't crank. what could this be?

 

dont you love it when you neglect to disconnect the battery when working on electrical components? sucks, i did it once, never again.

only thing i can think of it to bust out the multimeter and go to town. good luck man.

 

Gonna have to get the multimeter out and check every hop to isolate the problem. Just had to rewire my trailer over the weekend because the idiots that built it crossed two wires. Tooks all day to track it down. Electrical problems are teh lose

 

problem fixed. it was just a misplaced fuse thanks for all the help guys
