heres the question, for a decent b18b turbo or a b18c1
which one of these set ups would be more expensive?
What would the E/T time difference be between the two?
Is turbo b18b reliable?
does the b18b need to be built to boost?

they both SHOULD be built if you boost. as honda uses high compression engines, high compression+turbo=boom. and once you boost it really dosent matter what engine your using they will all almost yeild the same power. ive seen 700hp b18c5's and 400hp b18c1's.

 

b18c has the high compression, but the ls is perfect for boosting. With a good fuel management you can boost 13 lbs or even higher w race gas on a stock ls. My friend is boosting 8lbs on his ls daily driven (245hp at 8lbs, 273hp at 11lbs/ stock internals) Hope this helps.
