I used to run a Rockford Fosgate Power 550s bridged to 1 ohm, but my dad connected the power/ground and blew the terminals.

I am now looking for something to power the driver again.

I was thinking of bridging this 1 ohm.

If there are any other suggested amps, please do suggest them. I am looking to push the sub alittle more then its recommended specs.

 

By the looks/sounds of it you have one 15" 250W continues, [RMS] SVC 4 ohm sub and you are looking at a 1x175W RMS into 4 ohms mono block sub amp, [the amp can't be bridged, there is only one channel] the amp will make 1x325W RMS into a 2 ohm load, but then you would need 2 subs or a DVC 4 ohm sub and the amp is not stable below 2 ohms, so it is really the wrong amp, what you need is an amp the makes at least 250W RMS into 4 ohms, like this maybe... http://www.bestbuy.com/site/ol...08658 bridge it and you should get 300W RMS into a 4 ohm load, or a JL Audio 300/1 would work. 94

 

Do you know of any amps that are cheaper, but the quality is still good. I can order an amp too.

 

Maybe look at MTX definitely cheaper the JL, ans still pretty good 94
