Default Component speakers in Integra

Has anyone here installed a new set of component speakers in the front of an integra? Do you have any recommendations on where to leave the crossover? Did the tweeters fit in flush? Did you have to do much fabrication yourself?

Also, what components would you recommend? I just got an Alpine 9857 headunit installed.

Thanks

BTW, 99 GSR

The stock tweeter location in a g3 teg is just in front of the door handle, there is lots of room to flush mount most tweeters there, there is more then enough room behind door panel to mount most x-overs, as for what component set to get, get the ones you like the sound of. 94

I have my tweets mounted in the kicks and the 6.5's in the doors (with fab'd adapter rings). Keeping the tweets as close to your mids helps your sound stage by keeping everything around the same time alignmnent to your ears. Separating the drivers WAY out does nothing but cause a shift in your sound stage usually. Some times you can get away with it, but most of the time it's easier just to keep them close to each other.

Here is a pretty good one... http://www.eclipse-web.com/point/sp6500.html
and go here and find the HI-ENERGY coax HCX 165 an over-sized 6.5" 2way speaker... http://www.hertzaudiovideo.com/default_en.htm sorry can't link you directly to it, but if you have money burning a hole in your pocket check them out, and if it's a lot of money, check out the MILLE line. 94

a good spot to put the crossover is in the door pannel. There is a little black cup or box that the x-over should fit in to. Plus it will keep the x-over out of the way of the window and keep it from getting wet. gl

If you haven't got component set yet, MB Quart x-over's won't fit here, tried it .. sucks
