Default 97 civic radio install?

Hey all, Im brand new to the site so if this has already been covoered im sorry.
I just bought a 97 civic ex and I want to replace the radio with my alpine. Is the stock radio only held in by clips or do I have to take the full panel off? Also I have heard something about the key-less entry and dome light? Can anyone help shed some light on this problem for me? Thanks

Welcome, and here you go... http://www.installdr.com/Insta...3.pdf

When you read it all, [as I am sure you will] you will see to note about "if you have an OEM, [stock] key-less entry system for your car" you must leave the OEM HU wired and "mounted" behind the dash, if you do not have OEM key-less entry never mind, if you do there are other options. 94
