Default Regaining keyless entry on a '97 civic ex.

hi, I recently just purchased a 1997 civic ex.. I was given NO transmitter and NO OEM head unit, after doing some research I learned that without the OEM radio I lose the keyless entry and dome light.. then I learned it's possible to get the dome light back after doing some wiring.

But anyway, I want to regain stock keyless entry too, so if I were to find some sort of oem head unit for the car, and then order a transmitter from a honda parts website, will i be able to regain keyless entry? or am i ****ed and need to go get an aftermarket keyless entry installed ?

Yes. Find a stock 96-98 Civic radio from an LX or EX (or even possibly an HX) and a 96-98 Civic remote. Also verify that the green keyless plug is still behind the aftermarket radio.
