Default Civic with B18C5 OBD2 to OBD1?

Im planning to have a 98 ITR swapped into my 92 Civic CX. What is the easiest and cost affective way to convert it to OBD1 specs? I heard the P30 ecu is the best to use and to chip it or will the P28 and P72 be ok also? Also what else is needed to be replaced besides the ecu, like the harness, cap, rotor, injectors, etc...

any info. is greatly appreciated... im fairly new to this

Drop the '98 ITR swap in using the '98 ITR engine harness. If you use one of my P28 ECUs the swap is plug and play. No wiring to do at all.

Email me to purchase one of my chipped P28 ECUs. I am running a special this week until April 13. $215 shipped for a chipped P28.

Will JDM B18C5 engine harness plug in the some way or does it require more work? The car I am putting a swap in is a 92 Si.

The B18C5 engine harness will plug right into the harness connections near the shock towers in your civic. Then, those wires will run to the ECU where you'll plug in the chipped P28.

I have a 2000 B18C5 in a 92 Civic HB. I had to go to the referee to get it smogged. Needless to say, I have a lot of work ahead of me. He gave me two options. A.) Swap back in the stock motor (which I don't have) or, B.) Convert the whole car to 2000 emissions. I have started work on both. Dropping in a stock motor would be the easiest. Don't have to worry about 2 O2 sensors and what not. Choice B is a little more time consuming. The ref stated I needed a Type R fuel tank, along with all EVAP and IAB, IAC, IAT blah. Of course, this is trying to register it as a legal swap. If you just want to convert the motor to OBDI so that you can run an OBDI ecu so you don;t get all the faulty engine error codes, then pretty all you need is an OBDI ecu (but you already knew that) and an OBDII to OBDI wiring converter. This would be the easiest route to go. I too am on this journey. It's a fun one though. Consistently running 13's. Good luck.
