Default Having trouble with coilover installation

Hey, So I was installing my f2 coilovers today and the first three went on without giving me any problems.

But on the final one (rear drivers side) I can not get the 14mm bolt in the LCA off. I have soaked in it wd-40, and tried so hard that I bent the socket wrench.

So my question is have you guys ever had a bolt that was on so tight? The others definately took some muscle but this one is kicking my ***.

Any ideas?

got a good grip on it eh? use PB buster, soak that bitch in it, then take a torch to it... use a big breaker bar first, then add a steel pole to it to add leverage. If you still cant budge it with jumpin on it (safely) then take it to a shop that has that 200lb+ air tool.

I think even with a top of the line ratchet (my bad) it's still to tight to budge it. Does any place rent out airtools?

I'm going to borrow a breaker bar if I can but I'd rather just use airtools.

did you try putting a pipe(like the handle of a racing jack) over your ratchet when you were trying to loosen it? Leverage FTW. And how long did the WD40 sit?

when i did mine, both of the bolts on the pass. side rear lca snapped and i drove 2 hours home with them like that. my hatch is from boston, so its hella shitty underneath. it turns out the bolts were completely seized and it took the shop like 6 hours to drill them out.

take it to a shop, or drill them out yourself. they are probably seized.

I put on H & R Race springs on my EM1 today and we used airtools. We tried using shitty handtools yesterday and couldn't even get started. Find someone who will let you use an impact wrench and compressor. Life will be alot easier.
