Default Help with Rusty Bolt

I cannot get this one bolt off.. It is VERY VERY rusted. I tried WD40 and a super long bar for leverage.. and still nothing. Does anyone know a good rust remover I can buy? Something that will be able to eat through the rust in the threads in the bolt? WD40 isn't working at all. I'm going to need some aircraft quality stuff for this.. damn rust!

Use a penetrating lube and leave it overnight. Or use an impact wrench which it sounds like you dont have.

i had a hard time gettin off one of my caliper bolts last month... i even cracked a socket! what i did was buy a 1/2" drive ratchet and socket and it helped ALOT!!! it allows u to apply more pressure on it. Try that. And oh i soaked the bolt in pbblaster before i went at it.

This is what I would suggest. Also find a longer bar! I use the bar from my floor jack and there is almost no bolt I can't break loose with that sucka. Just make sure you have a six point socket so you don't strip the bolt and have at it.

Edit: I typos!

"PB Blaster" is BY FAR the best stuff for this. (comes in spray can)
But if you tried all that, go to sears and they sell a Mapp Gas torch kit- the torch is on a long hose, and you can get it into anywhere you need. HEat the metal AROUND the bolt (not the bolt) and then try...
You will expand the metal around the bolt and it will make the bolt easier to get out. The torch is like 30 bux, but well worth it. (use it for exhaust jobs, lighting fireworks, etc)

Great advice! Thanks! I haven't tried PB blaster yet, so I'll try that first.

**EDIT**
DAMN! I looked up a picture of Pb blaster.. and I saw it at Autozone today, but I din'dt know if it was any good so I put it back and bought this other one called "Rust begone" or something.. damn.. owell, back to autozone I guess.
