Default 2000 si tranny grinding

My em1 just started grinding today when I switch from 3rd to 4th anywhere from 3k-5k rpms... Why did it do this and what do I need to do to fix it?

GM SYNCHROMESH THIS GM SYNCHROMESH THAT!! Enough with that already. Some goddamn synchromesh isn't going to add teeth to your SYNCHROS!! What you need to do is repalce your tranny or rebuild it. That synchromesh is only going to cure that grind for about 2k miles and you're back to square one again. I suggest to just buy a cheap tranny..like an LS or something and slap it onto your B16. That is if you're only using it for daily driving.

Rebuild the b16 tranny! Your Synchros are wearing out!

I want a new tranny but if I do that I'll have to get an lsd and clutch so I'll wait.

No don't bother with redline...I used that before in my tranny and was not happy with it what so ever. I'm now using Motul 10w30 gear oil...been fine so far.

I've heard good things about the GM syncromesh.

Dont wanna thread jack but i had a question that came across my mind. Has anyone used the synchromesh after the 2k miles are up and keep using it over and over instead of fixing the syncrhos?? would it make the car run worse when its returning back to the griding or is this a cover up like what was said
