2000 si tranny grinding

its a common prob in 99 n 00 si's gm syncromesh does help tho
i work at a honda dealership and so many si's had this prob that i thoughr honda was going to make it a recall, but they didnt. i belive we cahaned 3rd and 5th gears and syncros on all the ones that came thru here

GM SYNCHROMESH THIS GM SYNCHROMESH THAT!! Enough with that already. Some goddamn synchromesh isn't going to add teeth to your SYNCHROS!! What you need to do is repalce your tranny or rebuild it. That synchromesh is only going to cure that grind for about 2k miles and you're back to square one again. I suggest to just buy a cheap tranny..like an LS or something and slap it onto your B16. That is if you're only using it for daily driving.

No don't bother with redline...I used that before in my tranny and was not happy with it what so ever. I'm now using Motul 10w30 gear oil...been fine so far.
I've heard good things about the GM syncromesh.

Dont wanna thread jack but i had a question that came across my mind. Has anyone used the synchromesh after the 2k miles are up and keep using it over and over instead of fixing the syncrhos?? would it make the car run worse when its returning back to the griding or is this a cover up like what was said
