tranny grinds 3rd only above 3k

tranny grinds 3rd only above 3k
i got a si trans in my hatch and i just finished my boost project and swap. for some reason ever once ina while and only above 3 grand my trans will grind the sync's going into 3rd anyone else encounter this?
