Default Line out converter question

I just picked up a line out converter (LOC) so I can run an amp to power a sub off my factory deck (00 Civic Si). From reading on this site I thought there would be only two wires for the signal, but this LOC has four wires to take the signal from both the front and rear speakers.

Can I use just the rear speakers for the signal? Would there be any advantage from using both the front and rear?

Thanks

The sub would be non fading if you take the signal from all 4 speakers, that would be the advantage. However are you sure they are not just a pos. (+) and neg. (-) for 2 speakers? 94

Only time I've seen an LOC with 4 speaker hookups would be a 4channel LOC.

I had only looked at it quickly as I was on my lunch at the time, but you were right, there are only four wires...positive and negitive for the rear speakers.

I installed it last night along with the rest of the wiring kit, hooked up my girlfriends sub and amp to it just to test it and everything worked. It's all I need to give me more bass then stock and keep the clean factory look inside the car with the factory CD player.
