Default Where's this oil coming from? Around driverside headlight.

Everytime i pop my hood there is oil on the chassis where the headlight brackets attaches to. It's located on the driveside. Where the hell can this oil be coming from? It's above the two grey tabs on the headlight. anyone else have this problem?this is not my car, just using it as a example.

It's your blinker fluid leaking from the flasher relay.
No, it sounds like either power steering or your valve cover leaking.

I had that same problem once... odly enough right after an oil change... pop the hood and it looked like an oil-bomb went off...... due to a lack of oil cap

if it's actually oil and not ps fluid, check your lower timing belt cover. may be a front main seal. It could also be oil from the AC...

car has no power steering. i was thinking maybe a/c also but it even did this when i didn't have the compressor on. I looked around everywhere and everything is dry. Here's a picture of the leak. You would think oil ran down the ground wire, but wire is dry. no leaks around valve cover area. Hood is dry. where the hell is this coming from?

It could be coming from the seal around the crank that seals it around the end where the timing belt is. The oil is leakin out and being carried up by the timing belt and then being flung on your right side. Thats the only thing I can think of

Is there anything slung up on the bottomn of the hood? Also are there any holes on the bottom of the hood, because ive seen some toyotas that have had some greasy crap seaping out holes in the hood and usually it ends up in that same area, and I have no idea what it is.

Sounds like crank seal to me. Can you see oil under the crank pulley? I gad this happen to me, after 2 hours it was solved with a new seal.
