Driver's side Oil leak mystery
Ok, So "Pirate", my 93 hatch with a stock B18c type r started burning a little oil after many years of joy, so I replaced it with another jdm imported engine. It behaved very well until its first track weekend. There was quite a bit of oily fluid under the power steering reservoir and on the inside of the hood above. the engine itself was not dripping with oil, so I assumed it was my power steering reservoir overflowing. But the PS fluid wasn't going down and my oil level was. I kept cleaning it up over and over. I have removed the timing belt cover and run the engine but it apparently only squirts out under load. Could it be coming from the oil pan and shooting up like that? I assumed it was the camshaft seals but the top of the side of the engine seems clean. Not sure what to fix. Its all packed up in storage, otherwise I would put a camera it there and go for a rip. Anyone experience anything like this? Any help is appreciated.
