nothing wrong with the car all motors when there cold start off at high idle rpm so they can warm up. You do know that your suppose to let your car warm up befor you drive it right? i have a 03 s2000 and it goes to 2,000rpm at idle on a cold morning. and thats bone stock. good luck man!
Mine was revving at 2k when i was starting it up. It was usually doin it at about 1500, then all of a sudden bam, 2k. Turns out i had a vacuum leak somewhere along the intake.

That's not necessarily true these days. Cars now are better designed so you can drive them while cold. In fact, many manufacturer's recommend not letting the car sit while warming up because it will warm faster if you drive it and it'll be able to lean out the mixture sooner which in turn gives better mileage. It's in the manual. Just don't above 4K on the rpms and don't go past half throttle until it's warm.
The high idle is normal on startup. It does that because a cold motor requires a rich mixture which won't idle smoothly below 1K rpm. If you let it sit and watch the tach, you'll notice as the engine gets warmer the rpms drop in stages: 1800, then 1300, then normal idle. Modern fuel injection is a wonderful thing.
